This new one-day workshop provides participants with a practical, skills-based approach to responding sensitively and effectively to clients with co-occurring trauma and AOD support needs. Building on trauma-informed approaches, the workshop equips participants with practical skills to recognise the biopsychosocial impacts of trauma, integrate recovery-oriented interventions into their AOD work, and attend to their own self-care.

This one day practical workshop is specially designed to assist AOD practitioners to be court ready including learning the “how to” on good case note and court report writing. Participants will gain understanding of the court system and the differences between subpoena’s and requests and how to respond. Paula Ross, counselling psychologist and Jarryd Bartle, forensic consultant will equip participants to prepare for court to ensure effective court appearances.
