Wesley LifeForce Suicide Prevention Workshop for Relationship Counsellors

Uniting ReGen will be facilitating this free accredited workshop which provides attendees with the skills and knowledge of how to best support someone who is having thoughts of suicide.

The training

Wesley LifeForce has developed quality suicide prevention training. Our Suicide Prevention Workshop is designed to teach people how to identify the signs that someone may be at risk of suicide and appropriate action to take. All Wesley LifeForce facilitators are accredited trainers and have completed suicide intervention training.

The outcomes

  • understand risk and protective factors
  • how to identify the warning signs that someone may be at risk of suicide.
  • working with suicide intent.
  • supporting a person at risk.

Who can attend

Anyone working in a position where 1:1 counselling is a part of the role.  Individuals who are studying in the fields of social work, psychology or therapy are encouraged to attend.
