Recordings from the 2023 AOD Nurses Forum now available!

On 16 November 2023, VAADA held its third annual AOD Nurses Forum: Toolkit Top-up. The event brings together two networks supported by VAADA – the Non-Residential Withdrawal Nurses Network (NRWN) and the Emergency Department Clinical Liaison Addiction Network (EDCLAN) – for a day of presentations, networking and professional development.

  • ‘Setting up a nurse-led model of care’ – Dr Jacqui Richmond, Program Manager, Workforce Development and Health Service Delivery (Hepatitis C), Burnet Institute.
  • ‘When you get bumped and trip into the K-hole: the toxicology of ketamine’ – Dr Zeff Koutsogiannis, Senior Clinical Toxicologist and Emergency Physician, Austin Hospital;
  • ‘Pain and Culture’ – Monita Maschitti-Meuter, Cultural Inclusion Lead, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne
  • ‘Pharmacotherapy: A consumer perspective’ – Sarah Lord, Program Manager, Pharmacotherapy Advocacy and Mediation Service;
