Comorbidity Guidelines Skills-Based Training Workshops – Free training for Victorian AOD professionals

The Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use at the University of Sydney has been funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing to deliver a series of free, evidence-based training workshops for professionals supporting people using alcohol and other drugs (AOD). These workshops are designed to focus on building workforce capacity in relation to evidence-based practice approaches to the management and treatment of co-occurring alcohol and other drug (AOD) and mental health conditions. This set of training aligns with the Guidelines on the management of co-occurring alcohol and other drug and mental health conditions in alcohol and other drug treatment settings (3rd edition).

March| Skills-based training workshop- Melbourne

 

Designed for professionals supporting people using alcohol and other drugs, this training covers what you need to know about mental health presentations in your clients.

The workshop will cover: A range of co-occurring mental-health conditions; screening and assessment; motivational enhancement, cognitive, and behavioural approaches.

 

When: Tuesday March 24th to Friday March 27th, 2026

 

Duration:  3.5 days
