The Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector is vital in supporting individuals and communities affected by substance misuse. Careers in AOD are diverse, offering pathways for professionals passionate about health, advocacy, and community work.

The AOD sector offers many different career options and pathways.  Each year, over 80 funded AOD treatment agencies provide services to around 40,000 Victorians with drug and alcohol issues. AOD services are delivered in diverse settings, including residential services, hospitals, community health centres, non-residential settings, home-based services, and online support, to name a few. There are public service roles in local, state and federal government in AOD policy and overseeing AOD service providers.
