HEPReady Essentials
HEPReady® Essentials is a 2.5 hour workforce training course which is endorsed by the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) and the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN). The training features a lived experience speaker and will give you all the ‘need to know’ information about viral hepatitis including; transmission, testing, treatment, vaccination and has a particular focus on stigma and discrimination. Participants will support each other to learn how to better manage various aspects of their life with chronic liver disease and learn about a range of topics. The Chronic Disease Self-Management model has consistently shown improvements in the confidence and health literacy of participants which by extension shows improvements health outcomes.
