Submission to the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee | Inquiry into Vaping and Tobacco Controls

VAADA is pleased to release its submission to the Inquiry into Vaping and Tobacco Controls by the Victorian Public Accounts and Estimates Committee. The submission makes a case for an evidence-based approach to e-cigarettes. Balancing prevention with harm reduction, VAADA advocates for a well-regulated market for e-cigarettes as a consumer product.

Developed and implemented effectively, and supported by robust enforcement, this would protect young people and never-smokers, reduce the number of illegal, unregulated and environmentally hazardous disposable devices, while supporting e-cigarette access for smoking cessation and harm reduction.
