Our presentation outlines a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach to treating clients with complex needs, particularly those closely connected to a parental figure. Traditional treatments often fail these individuals, highlighting the need for a structured framework that effectively addresses their unique requirements. We establish distinct roles within the MDT to separate medical, psychiatric, and psychotherapeutic functions while developing structured treatment contracts to promote psychological separation and individuation. This individualized program provides targeted support for clients and their families. Preliminary outcomes indicate positive changes in treatment-resistant clients, such as increased therapy engagement, better medication adherence, and greater independence from family ties. This approach effectively addresses complex needs and fosters client progress.
