AOD Peer Support Worker
Team: Integrated Alcohol and Other Drugs and Mental Health team
Employment: Part-time (0.8) Fixed term until 30 June 2027
Reports to: Alcohol & Other Drug and Mental Health Integration Clinical Lead
Classification: Community Health Centre (Stand Alone Services) Social and Community Service Employees Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022, Level 3
Salary: $38.65 - $41.45 per hour

- You hold a Certificate IV in Mental Health, and/or Alcohol and Other Drugs, and a current driver’s licence.
This role suits someone confident in their wellbeing and ready to use lived experience in a professional, supported setting.
Your new role
You’ll support people affected by alcohol and other drugs and/or low intensity mental health across the Ballarat region as part of our integrated AOD and mental health program.
Your work will include:
- Build genuine, respectful relationships
- Walk alongside people as they set their own recovery goals
- Provide individual and group peer support
- Help people reconnect with services, community and everyday life
- Champion empowerment, resilience and social inclusion
- Keep clear, accurate records that support safe care
You’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team where your lived experience is valued and contributes meaningfully to client care.
