At least half of individuals in alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment have a co-occurring mental disorder, making this an ongoing priority in the Victorian AOD Workforce Strategy (2018-2022). The Comorbidity Project offers an expanded suite of evidence-based resources, including the third edition of the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care-funded Guidelines on co-occurring conditions (2022) at www.comorbidityguidelines.org.au. Additional resources include online, skills-based and train-the-trainer programs, evidence-based practice webinars, and the forthcoming Community of Practice, National Practice Standards, and Implementation Toolkit. Since the third edition’s release, over 13,100 Guidelines have been distributed, the website has reached more than 284,000 users, over 4,500 individuals are using online training, and 55 trainers are registered to deliver skills-based training. The Comorbidity Project toolbox remains an evolving and essential solution for meeting workforce needs.
