The Brain Workshop

20 March @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

Understand the inner workings of the brain on drugs and how to work effectively with cognitive impairment

Alcohol and other drugs can affect the brain in both consistent and idiosyncratic ways. Up to 70% of people in alcohol and other drug treatment have significant temporary or long-term cognitive impairment related to drug use, lifestyle, or other factors.

In this interactive online workshop, learn about how different parts of the brain can be affected by drug use and how this may impact functioning. You will gain a thorough understanding of how the brain works, the functional impact of drugs, and the effects on treatment.

Improve your understanding of the effects of alcohol and other drugs on the brain and develop strategies to adapt treatment to improve outcomes for clients with cognitive impairments.

On average, participants of The Brain Workshop report a 45% increase in knowledge, 60% increase in skills, and 45% increase in confidence. Satisfaction is rated at 8.2/10 on average and 84% of participants would recommend this workshop to others.

“Dr Cash is a fabulous presenter and could answer every question thoroughly and with great detail.”
