Hello from the Team here at Peer Projects!
We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new professional development opportunity for emerging peer workers with AOD lived experience.
Summary:
Recognising the growth of emerging peer workers, SHARC’s Introduction to Peer Work is a new initiative funded by the Victorian Department of Health to provide essential information about the peer work role. This one-day session will introduce you to the concepts of peer work and its practice within Victorian AOD services.
As this session is primarily designed to provide information, you will also be informed of pathways to further develop practical skills in peer work.
We are funded to deliver six annual sessions to meet the needs of the emerging peer workforce. So, if you are interested but are unable to attend the next session there will be many more opportunities to participate.
Eligibility:
This session is free for anybody with AOD lived experience who is interested in peer work.
When and where?:
