Victorian AOD Workforce Development Initiative
The Victorian State Government committed $25.62 million from the 20-21 State Budget to employ 100 new alcohol and other drug workers and address the impact of COVID-19.
Within the funding for this initiative, the Government also committed to creating a centralised workforce development program developed in consultation with the sector and administered by VAADA. This new program is called Elevate!; as in raise or uplift, or as in develop mastery and expertise in knowledge, skill and application.
You must work for a state-funded AOD service in a funded AOD role within Victoria to be eligible. This program is not available to student placement or professionals outside the AOD sector.
If you are an AOD worker who has not been able to get along to training in previous years, now is the time!
We will be updating the training calendar with new training offers over the following year, and registrations will open approximately two months before the start date of each training.
