DESCRIPTION:Advanced AOD Forensics is one-day online clinical training for experienced drug and alcohol clinicians working with forensic clients. \nLearning Outcomes \nAdvanced AOD Forensics training is targeted at senior AOD clinicians working with forensic clients presenting with multiple complexities\, including personality disorders\, severe mental health issues\, and other co morbidities which present in addition to significant AOD use. \nThe training is delivered by experienced forensic psychologists and provides knowledge and skills for working with the most complex forensic clients in AOD settings. \nWhat is covered? \nThis training will cover the below learning outcomes: \n\nIdentification and discussion of the key challenges in working with complex forensic clients.\nIncreased knowledge and understanding of some of the complexities associated with the\ntreatment of forensic AOD clients and practical strategies about how to respond to these.\nIncreased knowledge on how to work safely with complex forensic AOD clients including\nthose who have committed violent and sexual offences.\n\nOpportunities to apply learning to your own practice using case examples and group discussion exercises \nWho can attend? \nDrug and alcohol clinicians who fulfill the below prerequisite: \n1) Completion of the Forensic Fundamentals (1/2) day training; and \n2) A minimum 2 years’ experience with forensic clients. \nWhen will I receive event information? \nZoom details and a link to the manual will be sent out 1 business day prior to the event
