Torque program now accepting referrals

Torque Accepting Referrals

The Torque Program – one of the Catalyst programs at ReGen – is now accepting referrals for the next episode commencing 30th July 2018.  Torque is an evidence based, non-residential rehabilitation program for clients struggling with alcohol or other substance use issues, who are willing to commit to abstinence for the six weeks of the program.  It also comprises Nutrition, Relaxation, Yoga, Gym and Art Therapy to promote a healthy lifestyle and create engagement with other meaningful activities, as well as one-on-one support.

This program is for forensic clients, including those who have upcoming legal issues or are involved with DHHS Child Protection.  There is no cost to the program, and clients receive a Myki card to enable them to get to the program every day.  It is a closed group with a maximum of 12 participants, and is held at ReGen in Coburg, 26 Jessie Street Coburg.  The Catalyst programs have been running successfully since 2009 and they aim to help clients develop new coping strategies using a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach.

Clients will need to complete a residential or non-residential withdrawal prior to starting the program.  Clients are also required to attend an Information Session about the program.  Information sessions are held at 26 Jessie Street every Wednesday at 4:00pm.
