This exciting new service provides a supportive and safe in patient environment over a period of three months, for people aged 18 years and over requiring a client centred, recovery oriented dual diagnosis rehabilitation program. The therapeutic and educational program offered will support and promote positive lifestyle choices. Linkages to post rehabilitation community based programs and services are also a key component of the DDRC program. The DDRC Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is a key leadership role in Western Health’s Drug and Alcohol Services portfolio and will advance Western Health’s Drug Health Services as a best practice exemplar in Victoria.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) fulfils the roles and responsibilities of a registered nurse demonstrating expert knowledge and skills while assuming a prominent management focus in the DDRC. The ANUM is an integral member of the DDRC management team, assisting the NUM in the course of their duties to ensure a provision of nursing care that is excellent in quality and consistently client centred while achieving operational management of the clinical environment.
