Medically Supervised Injecting Room Tours Are Now Full

VAADA conference is pleased to announce North Richmond Community Health are offering additional tours of the brand new Medically Supervised Injecting Room (MSIR). The MSIR is a safe and hygienic place where people can inject drugs in a supervised health setting. If someone overdoses in the room, a staff member can respond immediately. This Melbourne first is normally only available for public tours on a Tuesday afternoon. However there will be an additional 5 tours on offer around the VAADA 2019 conference.   Each Tour is limited to 15 places and is only available to people who have registered for the conference. These tours are:

Wed. Feb 13 @ 7.30pm

Thurs. Feb 14 @ 7.30am

Thurs. Feb 14 @ 7.30pm*

Fri. Feb 15 @ 7.30 am

Fri. Feb 15 @ 7.30pm

The tours are located at 23 Lennox St. Richmond.

Getting There

From the Pullman on the Park Melbourne:

On foot
 20-30 minute walk from the conference venue.  Conference delegates will have plenty of time to walk to and from the facility to the Pullman Hotel to make the first and last sessions of the conference.

Public Transport
Take the Mernda or Hurstbridge line train from Jolimont Station to North Richmond Station.  Walk 5 minutes to Lennox Street.

*Please note: The tour on the evening of Thursday February 14th @ 7:30 PM conflicts with the VAADA conference dinner.   Do not select this time if you wish to attend both dinner and the tour.
