Youth AOD Outreach Worker - Moorabbin Youth Hub
Since 1973, TaskForce has provided specialist support for people in serious need in Victoria. Our core services focus on addressing social issues of addiction, unemployment, mental health and high risk taking behaviours, supporting our clients to transition back into "mainstream" services and supports.
The people who access our services have experienced significant disadvantage or a crisis in their lives and as a result are prevented from reaching their potential.
About the position
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated part time AOD Youth Outreach Worker with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team. The role will provide outreach support and case management services to young people experiencing issues with alcohol and other drugs. The role will also involve capacity building– supporting external agencies with AOD expertise, providing drop in services to local youth related agencies, participating in case reviews and secondary consultations, and delivering training presentations.
Ideally you have experience working in an AOD service and demonstrated experience and understanding of working with young people with drug and alcohol issues and community stakeholders. You will be a proactive and engaging case manager, with specific drug and alcohol experience. You will be tertiary qualified in youth, social work, counselling or its equivalent and be equipped with a Certificate IV in AOD.
