Odyssey House Victoria (OHV) is a place of hope and positive change for individuals working towards breaking their pattern of addiction. At OHV we believe that every person should have the opportunity to change and grow. Our diverse teams work with individuals, families and communities to reduce drug use, improve mental health and reconnect people to their family and the community.

The Hope Restart Centre (HRC) is a new state-wide residential drug and rehabilitation centre operated by OHV, located at Lucknow, near Bairnsdale, East Gippsland.  The HRC treatment facility works as a Therapeutic Community (TC) with clients to establish healthier relationships, promote personal change and support them in their recovery journey.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a skilled, driven, compassionate person who wants to excel in their chosen career and genuinely cares about their community. Are you willing to work together to make a difference to someone’s life?

What we offer

We are committed to creating an inclusive and transparent workplace culture where our people can develop to be their very best.  We believe in giving people flexibility so they can be great at work, and at home.

OHV employees have access to generous employee benefits including salary packaging, flexible work arrangements (including 48/52 purchased leave), health and well-being services, and training and professional development opportunities.

The position

The position is offered as a fixed term contract to 31 October 2022, with possibility of extension if funding allows.

The role is based at the HRC in Lucknow (with a secondary location at Head Office in Richmond).

The key purpose of this position is to co-ordinate the day to day activity within the Therapeutic Community facility and promote TC values amongst the staff group, residents and their families.

A day in the life of this position includes supporting effective communication between staff and residents, ensuring that daily schedules are adhered to, responding to issues that arise in a timely manner, mentoring and supporting the resident co-ordinator and ensuring systems, processes and practice are maintained for smooth and seamless operational outcomes, and holding the keys.

Why apply?

This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding and friendly team in a leadership role. If you would like to support people affected by alcohol and other drugs on their recovery journey in a truly unique environment, then this could be the job for you!
