Job Description
Fixed term to 5th July 2024. Lead two programs, providing direct support to young people with substance misuse. Based at Preston.
Your role:
The Team Leader of AOD & Village21 oversees a multi-disciplinary team which provide direct service delivery to young people. The team consists of the following; one key practitioner of Village21(Preston) and two Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Youth Support Workers (Preston), a ‘Reach-Out’ Youth AOD worker (Craigieburn) and an AOD Clinician servicing adult clients (Craigieburn). The Programs aims to provide a holistic and collaborative approach to the delivery of quality case management, AOD support services and semi-independent accommodation support to young adults & adolescents with diverse and complex needs.

- Salary packaging is available up to $15,900 plus an entertainment card.

Key Selection Criteria
About you:
- Experience providing leadership and supervision
- In previous roles have monitored program performance and outcomes through the collection, reporting and analysis of data
- Clinical experience and an understanding of theory that underpins drug and alcohol service delivery
- Ideally an expert understanding (over 10,000 hours) in relation to substance misuse
- A deep understanding as to the reasons young people use alcohol and other drugs
- A contemporary approach to the work
- Ability to lead, develop and mentor others
Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Social Science, Counselling and specifically a minimum of a Cert IV in AOD or Post Graduate Certificate in AOD, including Dual Diagnosis competencies.
