Your role:

Anglicare Victoria delivers in partnership with Windana and this partnership is a provider in delivering a broad range of community adult based Alcohol and other Drug treatment across the Bayside Peninsula region. We provide Assessment, Counselling and Care & Recovery Co-ordination.

What you need to know:

  • A salary at SCHADS level 6 which equates to around $106000 plus super at full time.
  • Flexible through the increments up to 6.3 (dependent upon experience)
  • 30.4 hours per week, please reach out for details.
  • Site based at our office in Frankston with outreach across the Bayside and Mornington Peninsula.
  • Pool cars available for your use.

Key Selection Criteria

About You:

  • Highly developed knowledge and experience in working with practice models of contemporary counselling approaches in the alcohol and drug field.
  • Understanding of the principles of harm minimization and approaches to the treatment of AOD substance use including relapse prevention.
  • Ability to advocate for and promote best practice in AOD services.
  • Highly developed communication skills (written and oral) to manage both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to listen, problem-solve and resolve conflicts through well-developed conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to mentor and support less experienced AOD employees.
Preferred qualifications: 
• Bachelor in social work, psychology, counselling or behavioural sciences or equivalent.
Required:
• Alcohol and Drug specific qualification or Dual Diagnosis competencies.
