Job Description
- Full time or 0.9 FTE | Based at our Coburg and Preston offices
- 12-month maximum term parental leave replacement contract commencing in January 2025
- Assist clients and their family members and promote recovery
Your new role
Working as part of the Catalyst Program, you will have an opportunity to further develop your clinical skills with a diverse group of participants both as an individual counsellor and group facilitator. You will primarily be working with adults aged 18+, with some additional scope to deliver youth specific programs.
You will also support the development and delivery of evidence-based individual and group therapeutic interventions intended to assist participants to establish healthier lifestyles free of problematic alcohol and drug use; and assist participants to avoid and better manage relapse.

Key Selection Criteria
You will hold a tertiary qualification in a health or welfare related discipline. You will also bring with you:
- A Certificate IV in AOD or completion of the AOD Core Competencies (or willingness to complete within first 24 months of employment)
- Demonstrated experience working with AOD or dual-diagnosis clients
- Experience in AOD assessment/counselling activities with forensic clients
- Ability to facilitate therapeutic and psycho-educational groups, including group interventions for families and significant others
- Eagerness to develop your leadership skills
