The position is full time and offered as a 3 year fixed term contract, with possibility of extension if funding allows. Job share applications are welcomed.
The role is based at 660 Bridge Road, Richmond, with some travel to other sites.
The key purpose of the position is to partner with the organisation to deliver people management solutions that enhance service delivery outcomes. The Human Resources Manager provides a consultancy and advisory service that delivers best practice results and supports the OHV strategic plan.
Each day in the life of this position is different, but could include having phone, face to face and email dialogue with managers and employees on people issues; liaising with HR contacts from partner agencies on multi-agency employee matters; updating and refining HR procedures and systems; conducting exit interviews; writing/revising HR policies; drafting talking points for meetings and written correspondence around complex or sensitive employee matters for managers; presenting on people-related topics at leadership and management meetings; conducting mediations and investigations; providing advice, guidance, direction and coaching to the HR Assistant; or working with payroll to manage the Human Resource Information System.
