Windana Drug and Alcohol Recovery Inc. is a leading Victorian-based drug and alcohol treatment organisation.
For more than 30 years, we have been helping people rebuild their lives in a safe, caring environment, supporting our clients wherever they are in the recovery process.
The Family AOD Case Worker position is based at the St Kilda office 3 days per week and outposted to Windana Therapeutic Community (TC) at Maryknoll 2 days per week or locations as required. The TC is a 78 bed facility offering long term residential rehabilitation which utilises the community as method approach to treatment. The Caseworker operates within an outreach practice model working with families affected by alcohol or other drugs.
The program provides participants with effective parenting strategies in a culturally sensitive manner, aims to strengthen their parenting capacity and family functioning, reduce isolation of parents and children.
In order to be successful in this role you will have a demonstrated experience in working with families and children with complex needs and an ability to work in an outreach capacity. Additionally, you will have a demonstrated knowledge of problematic alcohol and other drug use and experience working in the alcohol and drug field.
Mandatory for this position is a relevant qualification in Health or Social Sciences and Cert IV in AOD.
The position is available full time with salary circa $76k plus super plus generous salary packaging.
