We have an exciting opportunity for values-driven and proactive Registered Nurses to be part of our AOD – Harm Reduction and Health Service in the City of Yarra. This service supports people presenting as intoxicated / providing health supports to people that present as intoxicated/assessing and monitoring the health of people that present as intoxicated.

This service supports people presenting as intoxicated / providing health supports to people that present as intoxicated/assessing and monitoring the health of people that present as intoxicated.
You will successfully
- Provide a safe and caring environment in which intoxicated persons can sober up as an alternative to Police custody in which a person’s behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others in the community
- Provide and facilitate access for the person to appropriate alcohol and other drug treatment options and support services when the person is sober
- Monitor and support participants through the sobering up process, providing nursing interventions to a high standard
- Be part of the team on-call roster
We currently are recruiting for our available casual positions. Salary and conditions are in accordance with Nurses Award 2010, Nurses (Vic P.S.Health) EA 2016-2020.

Key Selection Criteria
You will have
- DIV 1 RN with current APHRA registration
- Maintains CPD points as required by AHPRA
- Experience and competency in delivering accessible Primary Health Care, AOD and Harm Reduction Services
- Excellent organisation and administrative skills with capacity to balance workload and determine priorities while also addressing the needs of a high volume, often crisis orientated environment
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- A current VIC Drivers Licence
- Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
- Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
