Join our AOD team providing services in the Bayside catchment funded through the State-wide AOD recommissioning of services. This role facilitates and supports clients, families and significant others wanting to access AOD services through an initial screen, a comprehensive assessment, the development of an initial treatment plan, interim support while waiting service access, and negotiation with providers re access. The work will be phone based and face to face as required. This is a crucial role in the successful functioning of the AOD service system.

To be suitable for the role you will possess the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health- related area (e.g. Social Work, Counselling, Psychology). Applications from peer workers with equivalent qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience and skill in the provision of assessment, risk management, and treatment planning within the AOD treatment system.
  • Skills and experience in working with people who experience dual diagnosis
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the AOD service system and the range of treatment options
  • Understanding of harm minimisation including harm reduction
