Southern Dual Diagnosis cordially invites you to learn about the Trauma Informed Care principles and best practice for working with people with both mental health and substance use issues from a trauma informed perspective.

(part 1 and part 2) Session covers topics such as;

• What is trauma?
• Trauma informed care principles in practice
• How Trauma impacts individuals
• Impacts on the brain, nervous system, memory and cognition
• Learning about Hand brain model
• Trauma informed phases of intervention
• Treatment options
• Window of tolerance
• Language and responding to disclosure
• Vicarious Trauma and Self-care

This is delivered online via the Webex platform in an interactive session presented by two of our senior dual diagnosis clinicians.

Cost: $50 for two part sessions run over two weeks, 2.5 hours each session.
