On the 28th of August 2019, our Be Zine peer support group are hosting an art exhibition to commemorate International Overdose Awareness Day. This event will be held at the Hawthorn Arts Centre, from 12-4pm, in the Basement room. This a free event.

The exhibition will feature artwork created by our group participants. The pieces will incorporate themes of overdose, tributes, recovery and hope.

By hosting an event like this one, we hope to aid in the prevention of overdose deaths. We also hope to provide a forum for people to discuss how overdose may have had an impact on them or their loved ones. Trained mental health clinicians, peer workers and counsellors will be in attendance at the event, creating a safe space for discussion.

All are welcome to attend, and view the wonderful artworks that have been created.
