Team leaders and program managers currently working in state funded mental health and AOD services/programs in Victoria are invited to apply to undertake the Victorian Healthcare Association’s Mental Health and AOD Mentoring Program in 2025. Funded through the Department of Health, this training is offered to eligible participants at no cost.

This program offers practical skill development in mentoring and coaching. Using a strengths-based approach, participants will learn to use coaching and mentoring to foster and enhance collaborative relationships based on trust and empower their team members to deliver their highest level of performance.

Working with peers from across Victoria, the program also offers an opportunity to meet like-minded colleagues and to build ongoing supportive peer networks.

Participation involves 25 hours of coursework delivered as four full days in-person, or eight half day online session, two one-hour informal online peer reflective practice sessions and peer-led practice opportunities.
