Hepatitis Victoria is the peak not for profit organisation working across the state for people affected by, or at risk of viral hepatitis.

Anyone can contract hepatitis B and C but incidences are higher among some migrant communities, in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and people who inject drugs. These groups already experience a level of disadvantage, and barriers to the health system, preventing them from getting tested and treated and taking charge of their health.

Our training features a lived experience speaker and aims to combat the stigma and discrimination around viral hepatitis, correcting the myths and misconceptions that can trigger misinformation.

HEPReady Essentials achieves this by encouraging and community workers to initiate conversations with their patients and clients about viral hepatitis. It gives professionals the tools they need to speak confidently and consultatively with people at risk of living with hepatitis about their health to encourage testing and treatment when appropriate.
