Information session for Victorian regional and rural Community Mental Health and Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) services.

The 2021-22 state budget allocated funding to establish a rural and regional workforce incentive scheme. This will support rural and regional Community Mental Health and AOD Services with grants to enhance recruitment packages to include costs for relocation, upskilling etc.

State funded community mental health and AOD services in rural and regional areas that are experiencing recruitment difficulties will be eligible to apply for workforce incentive grants.

The Department of Health would like to invite rural and regional services to this information session to provide an overview of the grants program and to hear back from organisations about their needs and preferences for the application process.

The aim is to create a simple and streamlined application and grants process whilst maintaining accountability.
