Forensic Youth AOD Workforce Training
A two-day advanced forensic clinical training course (split over four days) targeted at senior AOD clinicians working with forensic youth clients presenting with highly complex needs.
This training will cover the below learning outcomes:
- Understanding the Youth Justice System in Victoria
- Substance use and offending in youth justice client
- Forensic assessment, case formulation and treatment planning
- Confidentiality, consent and documentation
- Managing treatment interfering behaviours and boundaries
- Trauma informed care
- Self-care in the forensic context
Scheduled Sessions:
- Tuesday 7th of June and Wednesday 8th of June – ONLINE – 9:30AM – 4:30PM

Who can attend?
The Forensic Fundamentals and Youth Forensic AOD Trainings are open to all Victorian AOD workers who deliver AOD treatment in the community setting. The Advanced AOD Forensics Training contains a number of selection criteria targeted at senior AOD clinicians working with complex forensic clients which will need to be met in order to be eligible for the course.
