Dear Colleagues

We are pleased to invite you to the next Tri-Peaks webinar—“Creating mentally healthy workplaces”—on Wednesday 22 September, with Dr Richard Kasperczyk from WorkSafe Victoria.

You can register for this webinar here.

Dr Richard Kasperczyk is an Organisational Psychologist with over 25 years of experience of consulting and training, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. His passion for healthy and high performing organisations led to the earliest application of a risk management framework to managing psychological health and safety in Australia. A valued member of the WorkSafe Organisational Psychologist Panel, Richard provides subject matter expertise to support the prevention of mental injury in Victorian workplaces.

As the pandemic continues to impact Australian workforces, more organisations and leaders are seeking evidence-based solutions to manage psychosocial hazards such as occupational violence, fatigue and stress. While health and wellbeing can at times seem to be catch-cries for individual responsibility, these issues need to be managed systemically.

Presented on behalf of WorkSafe Victoria, Dr Richard Kasperczyk will explore the systems that impact on mental health and wellbeing including:
• Mental health and wellbeing in the workplace: roles and responsibilities;
• Workplace-related factors in staff mental health and wellbeing; and
• A systems-based prevention approach.

This webinar will provide practical prevention and intervention strategies for promoting health and wellbeing at work in social and community services.

Tri-Peaks is a collaboration between the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare, the Victorian Healthcare Association (VHA) and the Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association (VAADA) to support and promote good governance and integrated practices across our three different sectors. The Tri-Peaks Project is supported by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing and the Department of Health.
