About “Grieving the loss in Addiction”
When you find out that someone you love is addicted to prescription pills, ice, heroin, alcohol or any other drug, it can be absolutely overwhelming. In some ways it can feel like that person has died and the person is replaced by a stranger.
This session includes information and explore how Family Members can find themselves grieving the loss of a loved one who is caught up in a toxic relationship with addiction and how the addicted loved one grieves the loss of the relationship to the addiction when disengaging from that relationship ie entering recovery.
