This years film festival has a session dedicated to the struggles of addiction and recovery.

The session has 3 films a feature length documentary,  “His name is Ray, about a former lifeguards struggle with Opioid addiction and two shorts “Fight for safety” about safe injecting rooms and “My name is Jack” about an Anaesthetist’s private struggle with his own addiction.

The session will be followed by a Q&A session with a panel including individuals with lived experience as well as experts in the fields of addiction medicine and recovery.
