About the opportunity

ReGen are in search of enthusiastic, experienced and qualified Overdose Response Counsellors to join our high performing team based in Coburg.  The primary focus of the Counsellor’s role is to undertake client assessments, provide counselling and care and recovery work and provide overdose information and training for clients and staff of AOD services, The Overdose Response Program will play an important role in minimising the risk of overdose by working with clients who are at most risk (particularly those entering or exiting residential withdrawal and rehabilitation services where risk may be high). An important part of the role will be the collaborative work with staff of AOD and other agencies that are already working with this client group.

About you

We are seeking candidates with tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, nursing or other relevant allied health discipline, certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs or the required competencies in AOD and qualifications in dual diagnosis (or willingness to undertake). You will also have demonstrated experience in the provision of assessment services with AOD or Dual Diagnosis clients. Experience in staff and client education and training is desirable.

About the opportunity

ReGen are currently seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Senior Education and Training Officer to join our high performing team.

We are looking for candidates who have relevant industry background and experience (teaching, AOD, mental health) and who have the ability to develop high quality education and training as well as delivering dynamic and professional training programs. You will also contribute to the development of resources and initiatives around prevention and reduction of drug and mental health related harms.

About you

The ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified in social work, psychology, nursing, education, or other relevant allied health discipline, certificate IV in Workplace and Assessment or willingness to complete within 12 months, and substantial experience in the AOD field. Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team are essential.
