Webinar: Identify and Respond to Domestic and Family Violence in the Alcohol & Other Drug Sector

In this presentation participants will be provided with the essential skills and knowledge to identify family violence, distinguish family violence from other kinds of relationship and safety issues and refer to the most appropriate service for safety and support while working with people with alcohol and other drug use.

Participants will learn some of the most common forms that domestic violence takes as well as best practice in responding to disclosures whether the client is a victim/survivor or perpetrator.

The presentation will also cover key Victorian legislations as well as discuss the evidence-based risk factors and how to utilise the intake and comprehensive documents for family violence within AOD sector.
