Incredible response to Alcohol and Drug Research Innovation Agenda (ADRIA) grants project!
VAADA is pleased to announce that we received a huge amount of interest in the ADRIA grants program. The ADRIA grants program offers DHHS funded alcohol and other drug (AOD) services the opportunity to apply for AOD research grants.
In total, forty-five (45) Expressions of Interest (EOIs) were submitted by a diverse array of applicants addressing a range of important issues including alcohol, opioids and benzodiazepines; new intervention or treatment models; various priority populations; and innovation in peer-led and co-designed programs.
Nearly $14 million of grants funding has been requested. The high standard of quality will make the task of assessing applications extremely difficult but is a credit to the Victorian AOD sector. The high number of EOIs received is also an indication of the interest and enthusiasm among the sector to undertake AOD research.
VAADA will contact applicants individually to notify them of the outcome of the EOI stage, as well as make general announcements via VAADA eNews and the ADRIA mailing list.
