Celebrating the End of Hep C
Friday 28 July – World Hepatitis Day 2017 – Memo Music Hall, 88 Acland St, St Kilda
On World Hepatitis Day last year we held our breath, looking ahead to a universal and affordable cure available for more than 230,000 Australians with hep C. It was all about determination and anticipation.
On World Hepatitis Day this year we can breathe out. The Direct Acting Antiviral (DAA) regimen rollout is well underway and is continuing apace. Many thousands have been cured. Many lives have been saved. And, though there’s a vast amount of work remaining, at Harm Reduction Victoria we believe this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate an amazing year’s work.
And how better to celebrate than with music, to gather together one night to recollect and reflect, then resume and redouble our efforts. We’ve assembled a fantastic line up for Friday July 28th at the Memo Music Hall in the heart of St Kilda. Those considering the cure, those who’ve been cured and those who do the curing can toast a job well done.
Performing on the night will be Hugo Race & Michelangelo; Ron S Peno & Cam Butler; Harry Howard & Edwina Preston; The Peptides (featuring special appearances by Sean Kelly and The Ears) Also guesting on the night will be Steve Kilbey (The Church) and comedian Greg Fleet.
It’s an outstanding line-up we know, and not one to miss out on even in normal circumstances. So join us in celebration of a job started well, of all the successes to come, and in memory for those for who the cure came too late.
For all ticketing (group/individual/member) inquiries and bookings, contact Memo Music Hall at www.memomusichall.com.au.
